I started decorating cupcakes in 2010 when my sister and her family bought me the book, What’s New, Cupcake? After working through every page of the book, I began creating designs of my own. My customers were originally just my family and close friends. However, once other people started reaching out to me for cupcakes, Sugarplum’s Temptations was born. At the time, my most popular item was my cupcake bouquets. They looked just like a bouquet of flowers but had an unexpected tasty bonus. After mastering the cupcake, I started working on tiered cakes to complement my cupcakes and other desserts, especially at weddings. My cakes and cupcakes are not just about the designs and fondant decorations, my recipes are also something I take pride in. I don’t want my desserts to just look good, they need to taste good too! Eighteen months ago, I took my grandma’s sugar cookie recipe and started working with royal icing to design cookies that coordinated with my cupcakes.
